This is all from personal experience!
I at one time used a nutmeg and honey mask. You mix 1 teaspoon of nutmeg with 1 tablespoon of honey. Then just apply it over a lightly cleansed, non-moisturized face. wait 25 minutes, then gently wash it off in a circular motion. Personal experience: This masked sucked for me. I have combo skin with bad scars on my chin, and was hoping this would rid of it. Instead, it did nothing for my scars, and actually caused me to have a bad breakout on my forehead. Also, the smell of the nutmeg was nausiating (sp?) so I ended up washing it off 10 minutes too soon, lol. But we all have different skins and different things break us out so try it!
Another one I tried was the famous aspirin mask. Cut a tablet of non-coated aspirin and cut it in half. Mix one half with a tad bit of water; just enough to allow it to dissolve into a white crunchy paste. Now, just dab and apply to scared/acne-fied areas, and scrub in a circular motion. You can also use a whole tablet to make a very thin facial mask. Don't make a mask with like 3 aspirins though; you just want enough so blemished areas have ';crunchies'; on them, because the ';crunchies'; are what exfoliate and do the job. Afterwards, wash off with warm water and moisturized with whatever you use. Personal experience: This one was GREAT. Luckily aspirin doesnt smell strongly. It felt great and it was gentle. Of course, you'll need to be sure your not allergic to aspirin. Only use Aspirin, because it contains acetylsalicylic acid, Advil and Tylenol does not.Homemade masks for blemishes/blackheads and pimples?
